From sound design to live sound engineering,
I help performers deliver a clear, balanced, and engaging experience.
What I Provide
My sound work includes designing the soundscape and selecting or creating the right sounds for a production, setting up and managing wireless microphones, operating the sound system, mixing performances, and solving the technical challenges that inevitably arise in live performance.
I work closely with directors, performers, and production teams to create sound that serves the production—whether that means making the audience forget they’re listening to a sound system or deliberately using sound and music as an integral part of the storytelling.
Behind the scenes, I use a variety of tools to make live performances run smoothly. I’m experienced with wireless microphone systems, TheatreMix for programming and managing scene-by-scene DCA changes, QLab for triggering sound effects and other cues, and the Behringer X32 digital mixing console. The technology is important, but the goal is always the same: to make the technology disappear and let the performance take center stage.
Why Sound Matters
I love sound, and I love making productions sound good. Sound does more than allow an audience to hear the performers—it can shape how they experience a story. It can create atmosphere, build tension, heighten excitement, and help guide the audience’s emotions. Done well, sound becomes an invisible but powerful part of the storytelling.
